Charlie Briggs is a thief who comes across an incredibly rare book and can’t resist when he has the opportunity to steal it. He soon realises that something terrible is happening when he begins to witness horrifying scenes before him.

A brilliant ghost story set at Christmastime.

The descriptions in this book are so vivid that they will linger in your memory long after you finish reading. There were many moments that were downright terrifying.

This is a novella and therefore quite short, which made its message so much more powerful. It was hard to feel sympathy for Charlie given his criminal nature but I was compelled to find out what would happen to him.

A captivating read that you will sail through in just one sitting.
