Feast of Ashes by Victoria Williamson

⭐⭐⭐⭐

In the year 2123, teenager Adina is working in the eco-bubble where she lives when she makes a mistake that kills thousands of people. A handful of people manage to survive and they set out across the barren land in search of safety, but soon realise that their journey could be more dangerous than they imagined.

Feast of Ashes is a gripping dystopian read.

The character development in this book is excellent. Adina didn’t come across as your typical protagonist which made her really intriguing and fascinating to follow. I was fully invested in Adina’s quest to find safety for the group of survivors.

I enjoyed that you find out from the start that something terrible happened and then you learn about the events that led to it. There were a lot of tense moments and the story felt like a real adventure with some serious themes.

This is the first in a trilogy and I am really looking forward to see what happens in the next book.

Thank you to The Write Reads for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
